Money and the Movies

Hey there everybody!

My week was really boring so I am going to instead write about a couple weekends ago when I had the opportunity to fulfill one of my all-time dreams: Be a MOVIE STAR! That’s right boys and girls; you are reading the blog of the next Arnold Schwarzenegger or Clint Eastwood (or at least Richard Greco). In reality, it was a short film made by some friends of mine, it was semi-professional, and it will be entered into multiple film festivals. So its not just some idiots with a video camera. I play of the main characters and get my neck snapped in the end…it was sweet.

Here is the plot: I am a member of a Narcotics unit of an unnamed police department. During one particular drug raid, I bring my trainee along for some extra muscle. This drug raid is different than others, however, because we plan to kill the drug-lord, who is also an informant, and steal his money. ( I know you are lovin’ this already!) After we raid the house, we shoot the drug-lord and plant a gun on him to “articulate the shooting”. My trainee does not agree with this, but has to go along with it because he is highly outnumbered. A few days later, the leader of our group decides that the trainee cannot be trusted and that we should “deal with him” before he can rat us out. We drug his beer and take him out to the desert to kill him. He ends up being a complete bad-ass and killing everyone else one by one. That is all I’m going to tell you right now….you will have to watch the movie to see the rest.

The title is “THE REAL DEAL”, I will let everyone know when it comes out on Youtube or something to that effect. Now doesn’t that sound like an awesome movie? Like I said earlier, I’m no Eastwood or Schwarzenegger but I do have a fight scene and my death scene is sweet.

Clint Eastwood and Arnold are my favorite actors. So I was very happy to see Eastwood directing and starring in a new movie “Gran Torino”. This movie ROCKED! It was like Dirty Harry at 78 yrs old. I laughed, I cried, and I got that tingly feeling when he growled “Get of my lawn!” to those punks. He played the part of “grumpy old man” as only Clint Eastwood could. Even at 78 he commanded respect and even got some laughs in there. Go watch it. Then, when it comes out on DVD/Blue Ray, buy it. Finally, when it’s on TNT, T-VO or DVR it. Don’t steal it though, because he will break you off one serious!

Next week I'll let you guys know what I think of the Western Movie "Appaloosa".

Also, I tried two new beers this weekend; Firestone Double Barrel, and Wingwalker IPA. Both delightful.

Well thats all! Thanks for stopping by!
